While writing these few lines, I look back with nostalgia to the years gone in making of Mount Litera Zee School. It is a short and exciting journey that started in 2013” While viewing the crystal ball of fortune telling – MLZS has leaped into the seventh year! Successfully… Vigorously… enthusiastically…!! Looking back gives us pleasant memories and looking forward is filled with hopes and promises to keep the banner flying at soaring heights, is its aim.

As, Dr. Abdul Kalam rightly quotes – “Dream is not what you see in sleep. Dream is something which does not let you sleep” – The most important personality, living and fulfilling the dream called Mount Litera Zee School, is a great visionary, educationist, a source of inspiration and motivation to the family of MLZS – our chairman Dr. Joseph Thomas.

The year 2019 marked the beginning of an era as the gates of MLZS opened to cater an educational pedagogy defined as Litera Octave, a curriculum based on critical attributes, interdisciplinary, project based on research driven – an education for all round development of the child. I can also proudly say that at the root of the progress an evolution of MLZS, we provide an outstanding academic excellence, 360 degree education in character building, personality development and prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow.

Methodology at our school

MLZS offers CBSE curriculum from Grade 1 to 10 and Illume 2 for Kindergarten. MLZS has programmed a diverse and specialized curriculum, which helps the child to develop critical thinking, and problem-solving. Seminars, symposiums, discussions, publications, dramatics, public speaking and other activities that enhance concentration and classroom learning, enable students to acquire learning skills required for an overall intellectual, psychological and social growth. With the help of the guidelines prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), blended learning design and learning resources from Zee Learn, faculty members prepare the curriculum. The wonderful and enchanting world of ILLUME-II beckons the tiny tots of Kindergarten which enables children to work with freedom with specific materials for specific concepts. Children work under the guidance of trained teachers. Children settle down in the environment, perfect their co-ordination and motor skills and gradually enhance their learning and creativity. The sensorial material helps them distinguish categories and become aware of the beautiful world around them. The ‘Milestone’ at the end of every session and ‘Fun Friday’ activities provide a unique opportunity for parents to watch their children and understand the child's level of learning and interest.

Life at Mount Litera Zee School:

Tucked away from the din and bustle of Mysore city MLZS campus is nestled in the pristine locales on the HD Kote Road. The architecturally imposing building has become the most sought-after education landmark of Mysore in a short span of 10 years. The well-manicured lawns and landscaped gardens welcome the students with great positivity. It is a home away from home for the students. An efficiently managed TEAM MLZS takes care of the safety, security and well being of every student. MLZS provides a safe and secure learning environment where students are taught to balance a myriad of co-curricular opportunities along with academic excellence to develop into global citizens and fulfill their dreams.

The journey that is laced beautifully with triumphs would not have been possible without our ‘dear parents’. Their consistent support empowers us. I urge parents to step forward, involve themselves, and be a part of making this wonderful school even better. I will be failing in my duty, if I do not appreciate the efforts, devotion and dedication of my team – the educators of MLZS.

Teamwork is the hallmark of MLZS. We are mindful of the ever-changing role which the school has to play in enabling our leaders of tomorrow. This school has, over the years, built a brand and ethos that must be maintained, nurtured and expanded on.  We believe that each one has the power and responsibility to get involved in society and our community as we undertake the promise of building young citizens.
